The Southwestern State of Arizona is a desert climate state with an interesting and diverse history. The capital of the state is Phoenix and the total population is around 7,1500,000 as of 2020 estimates. The state is a popular location for film productions and many famous songs reference the state. 1. Golf
One of the best ways to spoil a good walk is to play a round of golf and Arizona is the place to do that. 2. Tombstone
One of the most famous historic towns in the United States, Tombstone is still a small town but has quite a history. The famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place there which involved Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Ike Clanton, and Tom McLaury, among others in October 1881. The town is steeped in history and is still a popular tourist location even today. Many of the saloons and buildings that were around in the mid-19th century are still there today as well as plenty of souvenir places dotted throughout the town.
3. The Super Bowl
Anyone discussing the Super Bowl odds with their family and friends will be aware that the 2023 Super Bowl is going to be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale. It is one of the most impressive stadiums in Arizona so if you are in the vicinity, then it is well worth attending as it is one of the biggest sporting events in the United States. It takes place annually in February and attracts thousands of people. It is just the game itself but the pregame and midgame entertainment which has seen many famous performers throughout the years including the likes of Whitney Houston, U2, Janet Jackson, Pink, and Lady Gaga.
4. Nature
Arizona, despite being a largely desert area, has some diverse flora and fauna throughout the state. There are many locations you can go and trek and discover the wildlife as well as plenty of camping locations dotted around. Any time of the year is good in Arizona to go out exploring so this should be something not to be missed if you visit there. Even just outside major cities such as Phoenix you can find places that will satisfy your need to explore.
5. The Grand Canyon
Last but not least is the Grand Canyon, which is considered one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. It was carved from the Colorado river millions of years ago and is certainly a sight to behold. There are many ways to view the Grand Canyon including trekking, simple sightseeing, and even helicopter tours which give a massive insight into how big the Grand Canyon actually is.
